Well, considering how the Doodle Toons were at best a regurgitation of classic cartoon tropes that have blended into the cartoon viewership’s collective conscience that don’t need to do more than they should, it’s probably for the best that they be discontinued here on in. To facilitate that decision, I have removed you from my watchlist and have unsubscribed from Clever Clover on YouTube. Perhaps certain forms of entertainment, however worth holding onto and learning from they may be, are better left standing alone than emulated.

I still hope your comics will be turned into an animated television series one day.

It's perfectly normal to move on. You've changed and it's the right thing to quit what you're no longer interested in (animating is hard, I know). That said, it's great you're continuing Doodle Toons as comics. Can't wait to see what they're like.

Really sad to hear that one of my biggest inspirations, as a web series, is going away. But at least there's still the comics. I can still enjoy those as much as the web show. I'm also looking forward to seeing that animatic.

Well, darn. I'm gonna miss this series since it was actually pretty decent, and it certainly deserved more episodes.

Regardless, though, I understand why you are doing this, since you really shouldn't be forced to do something you don't want to do anymore. Good luck on the comics!

This series meant a lot to me as it pretty much made me what I am today. It's sad to see it go but all things eventually come to an end (well, mostly). I'm still looking forward to the animatic for the scrapped episode Monkey Business though. And I'm thankfull that the comics will still be going, since they are a nice read. Wish the best of luck to you with your work!

Also, one more thing: will you still be uploading to DeviantArt? In the video, you mentioned you will still be uploading to Twitter, but didn't mention this site. If you aren't, that's fine for me since I use Twitter.

I completely understand your reasoning. While the webtoons were fun tbh, I now know that animating isn’t really you anymore, and I respect that. Plus also, I understand about all the work you get now. I’m still looking forward to your comics though like always! We wish you the best of luck!

How could i have been so foolish, to let overoptimism get head of me! I wanted to countinue in the animation Field, but i started loosing interest in it! I will countinue on the Comic strip business, though. I just hope that i could make some quick cash in this Field, should never give up my hopes though!

Completely understandable, Jack. I’m just glad you’re doing what you enjoy doing and you’re not forcing yourself to do things you’re not interested in anymore. I wish you the best.

That's a real shame.

I actually kind of enjoyed those webtoons. Even if they were rather Ren and Stimpy-esque, I still enjoyed the effort you put into them.

And I'm not telling you what to do. But perhaps you can put the whole animation thing on hold until you finish college and then find a job where you can use your talents to your advantage. You did some really good animations. The timing, the expressions, etc. I'm trying to learn all that to pursue some career in cartooning and filmmaking in the future. Yes, I don't have the time for it, either, as I have college to attend to, still don't have a job, and I spend more time drawing than animating. But I plan to do some more of it in the future. I'm just waiting for the right time for me to do it.

Again, not telling you what to do. It's your decision, and I'll (try to) respect it so you feel better about yourself and your time being spent. But perhaps this could be a suggestion to not let it all go forever, and perhaps find the passion for it sometime in the future once again.

Either way, good luck to you.

While that is rather saddening, I understand if comics and illustrations are more up your alley now. And even though I have severe mixed feelings over what you've been doing with the series now (and I do plan to present my own interpretation for a "reboot" at some point), you seem to be doing the sort of stuff you like, and there's no crime in that. Maybe one day you can try the whole animation game again, if you ever get the desire for it, but for now, settle for what is most comfortable with you.

I am glad that you are doing what you like, and that you are still going to be continuing to use the Doodle Toons characters in some form; the great thing is that, because of the Doodle Toons animated series, I can envision the characters' voices whenever I read the comics! And with the power of imagination the mic quality will be top notch!
